Emily & Rick waited SO bloody long for this day to come but when it did it was truly spectacular in every sense. Easily one of my absolute fave couples and one of the most fun weddings from last year, it was also at one of my favourite venues; Wonwood Barton. I can’t quite put my finger on what makes it so perfect but Wonwood nestled into the edge of Dartmoor has a magic like no other. Sometimes it really is just how a place feels. A bit like home.
Back to Emily & Rick. I feel like we have known each other for ages, well we have, as they booked probably 4 or 5 years ago! It has been so lovely to get to know them and their family throughout the process of the past few years. We all know what has been going on so I need not explain. However the silver lining is that through this I have got to know folk all the better. And the key to great wedding photos is having trust in one another. Trust to be vulnerable and your true self. To allow yourself to feel all the feels all day long and not worry about your cry face or your unorthodox dance moves because they are a part of who you are and what your partner loves in you. This is what I loved about these two, they threw themselves in at the deep end, showed up as their real selves for each other and their children as they do every single day. It was honest and real and so bloody beautiful to see. As always I will let the photos do the rest of the talking, they say it all. Thank you for your unwavering trust in me. xx
