The shortest day of the year. A small hive of activity at Hotel Endsleigh nestled into the Devon countryside, whilst nature is asleep. Mist in the air gathers on the trees and creates tiny crystals. The Christmas tree stands proud in the main hall. The fire crackles. The fairy lights sparkle. A sense of anticipation. The most ridiculously beautiful bride puts on her show stopping dress and red lippy whilst her handsome and slightly nervous groom awaits her arrival.
Joanne and Daniel’s wedding was straight out of a modern yet timeless fairytale. Two people in love, making promises surrounded by just their very nearest and dearest. It was understated but wonderfully elegant. It was twinkly and festive with a good dose of sparkle. With incredible florals by Amanda Randell and quirky decor there was an edge of English eccentric and woodland winter wonderland. The ceremony was so emotional with everyone completely present in the moment. It made my heart soar to see so many eyes twinkling with tears of happiness.
The darkness crept in silently shortly after the ‘I do’s’. It smoothly shrouded us but we felt safe and warm. Many glasses of bubbles were consumed and some delicious food, followed by just having a bloody good time. Amongst the chatter was a real sense of togetherness and true romance. There were just so many hugs, clinking glasses, kisses and well wishes to this lovely couple. So Joanne and Daniel I am sending you both wishes (and Buddy) for all the happiness in the world xx
