When viewing this stupendously beautiful beachy boho wedding you should really play this track by Kishi Bashi. It will totally make sense I promise. One day I will learn how to embed stuff in my blog, (maybe)! I’m not really sure how to describe this day in words. It had such energy and fun and colour and love and sunshine and gin and mexican waves and nearly forgotten rings and laughter and music and all the things that make my world go round. But most of it all it had Katie and Ben written all over it. Effortlessly boho and beachy. AND OH MY LORD THAT DRESS!! California by Stephanie Wolff if you were wondering.
It all took place at Down End Field in Croyde, overlooking the beautiful bay. All the elements played nicely on their August bank holiday wedding weekender; blue skies for the most part, some fair weather cloud cover later on and only a single downpour but whilst everyone was feasting. Everything had a element of playful bohemian romance, from the floral creations, including that glorious floral crown by the lovely and ridiculously talented Laura Hingston to the literally laid back deckchair seating for the ceremony. The highlights for me were Katie’s entrance and seeing a sea of grinning faces all turn in awes towards her and the silk of her dress drifting in the breeze, climbing on top of the portaloos to get that big group shot and not falling through the roof and heading down to the beach just before nightfall to see Katie and Ben running about on the sand, paddling and celebrating being in their favourite place with all their favourite people. Oh and ‘Glass Boot’. Scroll down and you shall see the wonders of Glass Boot. I just know these tow will have so much fun in their marriage if their wedding was anything to go by. Keep laughing and keep loving xx
