If you’re planning a relaxed but stylish celebration in the heart of Bristol, this autumn wedding is the perfect inspiration. Combining editorial elegance with a laid-back atmosphere, city centre weddings like this show how you can have a luxury feel without anything feeling overly formal. It was romantic, fun and perfect for Lottie & Patrick to celebrate their marriage with their nearest and dearest. Choosing to go back to the city where they first met made absolute sense for nostalgic reasons and ease for their UK based guests and was wonderful for the Canadian contingent to see where their story began.
They are a couple who match each other’s energy perfectly. I loved capturing their day; their playful and tactile nature and their inner glow together.
I loved their choice of a monochrome palette which added a simple sophistication to the bridal party attire and the florals. It just worked visually with the city and their venue. There were nods to their Vegas wedding which hinted at an edge to these two. They have a wilder side for sure! I was blown away by Lottie’s elegance, she oozed understated style with some vintage touches too. Patrick matched her beauty rocking his tuxe and looking every bit the handsome happy groom. They were a complete joy to work with, to witness and capture their connection was gold.
Why Choose a Bristol City Centre Wedding?
There’s something effortlessly cool about getting married in a city like Bristol. Everything is close together, which means more time celebrating and less time travelling. For couples who value atmosphere over formality, a city centre wedding naturally creates a more relaxed flow to the day.
Autumn is especially perfect here—the lower sun creates soft, directional light that works beautifully for portraits, while the changing colours add depth without needing heavy styling. As a photographer who loves warmth in my images the sandstone architecture did this for me.
Lottie & Patrick’s chosen venue was The Square Club which sits next to the leafy park at Berkeley Square and is just a few minutes walk from Bristol Museum and Art Gallery and the amazing views across the city at Cabot Tower.

Venue – The Square Club
Dress – Silk Laundry
Florals – Snowdrops Studio
MUA – Makeup by Macy
Cake – Mrs Potts
