Devon Wedding Photographer – A Salcombe Wedding

Wedding Photographer Devon - Salcombe

Nothing quite beats a sunny wedding in Devon, even more so a September blue skies wedding day in Salcombe. The colour of the water. The circling seagulls. The salty tang to the air and the anticipation. Being a Devon wedding photographer means I am lucky enough to work in the most magical of natural settings and often in seaside towns.

Suzi & Tom’s wedding was full of colour and fun. Weaving the Salcombe hues through this one was a fun endeavour for me. You can feel the sense of adventure these two have. It really was as good as it looked. Laid back luxury by the sea at it’s best.

When couples choose iconic locations for their weddings, it is super important for me to ensure the images have a real sense of place. In addition making sure the images are imbibed in the character of the couple too.

After the vows in the pretty local church, we headed down to the water’s edge for some portraits, where the sun was high in the sky, bouncing off the aquamarine estuary. The backdrop of Salcombe’s rolling hills and sparkling water made for the perfect setting.

The reception was at the historic Cliff House which has the most incredible views of the estuary. All the guests enjoyed an afternoon of celebrating on the terraces basking in the early autumn sunshine.

In the end, a September wedding in Salcombe, with its vibrant sunshine and breathtaking views, was nothing short of magical. It was a day filled with love, sparkling light, and memories that will last a lifetime. And as a photographer, that’s exactly what makes my job so special: preserving moments within a place so special to Suzi & Tom.
