Energy filled weddings your thing? Then read on. This one was a non stop party from the welcome party on Friday (which needs it’s own post IMO) through to the early hours of dancing all weekend. Charlie & Simon have got stamina!
They blended class and style with colour and joy and ALL the fun. Plus we were blessed with THE most perfect wedding weather for photos. Blue skies but with a touch of cloud cover at the right moments to soften the light.
Kingston Estate is one of those venues that has got all the right angles for maximising the best light for the photography. If I could dream up a wedding venue that ticks every box for making sure all your photos from the whole day will be in great light, then this is it. Literally a photographer’s dream. Add in a couple as laid back and fun as these two and you have a recipe for some knock out shots.
It was the perfect mix of great styling injected with bags of personality, humour and some great surprises for guests that sum up Charlie and Simon. Some highlights for me were the beer boys, think groomsmen who start the party early, doing the aisle dance passing out beer to guests and pouring it over their heads to I guess, bless the wedding?! Another was seeing Simon’s face as Charlie walked up the aisle with her Mum. Go check it out, such a beautiful moment.
With a roaming band during the meal and impromptu dancing throughout the whole wedding breakfast there was zero chance of a lull on this day. It was uptempo and non stop. Honestly everyone had a complete blast! It was so genuine to these two which is exactly how a wedding should be. Heartfelt, colourful and so much fun. I loved telling the multilayered story of this perfectly imperfect day. So much beauty and celebrating!
