Oh my word…I already feel so unbelievably lucky to do what I love, but to win this award (Bespoke Wedding Photographer of the year) for a second year running was a proper ‘is this really happening?’ heart stopping moment…followed quickly by downing my vino and hopping up to do a ridiculous victory ‘dance’ to the stage (and a dare by my husband to rub Matt from Heart.Fm’s head – yes we may be nearly into our mid thirties but still act like teenagers.) I have gone from thinking it was a happy fluke last year to perhaps feeling that I really must be getting this right…is just such a wonderful thing. I think the real reason it works is because I have always worn my heart on my sleeve and made sure that my couples are heart and soul my kind of people. I just feel so lucky that we keep on finding each other. So without further ado here are the heart-meltingly touching comments you guys left for me. Thank you so much to those of you who voted and wrote some super nice stuff about me. I will never know who wrote what – although some of you left some pretty good clues – I like that it stays anonymous. Outstanding! Emma was so lovely from the moment we met her at our engagement shoot and really made us both feel so comfortable. On the day she was so full of energy and all my guests commented on how well she fitted in and organised them for the few group shots we had. The photos I have seen so far have been so so so stunning, the colours and the composition are perfect.

Emma is so extremely personable. On our wedding day she made everyone feel so relaxed and at ease and we enjoyed having her around. Her service and quality of photos is excellent and I have already recommended her to a number of friends and we have invited Emma back to do a few other shoots for us..pregnancy and baby shots in November.

Ours was a slightly quirky wedding which was entirely indoors due to storm Imogen making the outside very wet! Emma from freckle photography was amazing. She was with us documenting our entire day, with such a friendly can do attitude! We received beautiful photos, that looked like they came from a magazine instead of our own wedding! Emma dealt with the lack of light as all our photos and group shots were indoors. I honestly couldn’t be happier with our photos and the service Emma gave us. Going with freckle photography was one of the best decisions of my wedding planning!

Emma (Freckle Photography) is a fabulous photographer. When the florist was late and the videographer cranky, and I felt my first wave of panic, it was Emma who was the voice of calm and compassion, a soothing and professional presence. She was energetic and enthusiastic all day, and we have had so many positive comments about her. It is clear to see that she loves her job – she wasn’t just an exceptional photographer, but an actual joy to be around. She organised the guests and was innovative with her ideas and compositions. She listened to what we wanted and needed, and this is evidenced in the photographs, which reflect our wedding rather than just a wedding. She is a truly lovely person with a permanent smile, whose diligence kept her busy from start to finish. Thanks to her we weren’t just able to capture the day but to do so with genuinely wonderful photographs. Anyone can snap away at a wedding, some more skilfully than others of course, but Emma is a true artist.
