Last week I was lucky enough to hang out at Welcome Break; not the service station but a wonderful break away from reality created by the loveliest duo in the wedding world, Emma and Pete, who run an awesome little workshop called Welcome Home. If you are a soul searching, memory making, honesty creating type of photographer I wholeheartedly recommend it or even just checking out their work. It really comes from the heart.
I digress.
Welcome Break: It was a chance to take a couple of days out to meet up with some fellow wedding photographers. Time out for us all to let our hair down, meet up with friends, make some new friends, roll around on the grass, play rounders, drink Pimms in the sunshine, dance like no one was watching and a reminder about living in the moment. This time of year gets crazy busy and it can be hard to switch off when you live and breathe your work. This was a perfect way to let go and just be. I met some of the most awesome people and know that our few days out will stay with me. I feel so grateful to belong to a group so open, honest and welcoming. Thank you so much…until next time homies…
