The wedding of Jo and Jonny; I’m not really sure how to write this one up – it was emotional, welcoming and an all consuming love story. It was so Jo and Jonny. It was everything I expected and more. You see I went to school with Jo – one of my closest school friends, we had silly names for each other and peculiar clubs like a fir cone club. Yup. But like many friendships we sadly drifted apart – I went off to uni and never came back. So not only was I completely flattered that Jo wanted me to shoot her wedding, it was like a time hop – seeing so many of my old school friends. I was worried there would be that awkward thing you get when you haven’t seen people for ten years, but I was welcomed with open arms. Jo has blossomed into the most beautiful woman and found her perfect match. Not much beats seeing someone you care for so much so happy.
They got married at St Mary’s Church in Wootton – the village where we all went to school, then had the reception at the spectacular Moggerhanger Park – a huge Georgian Mansion hidden in the heart of the Home Counties countryside. The highlights for me included the tear inducing ceremony, conkers fights on the lawn, Jo’s many excited faces, the slick speeches with a soundtrack from The Godfather, Jo’s excited face, the paper ribbon wrapping extravaganza during the first dance (An Italian wedding tradition) oh and did I mention Jo’s excited face 🙂 Thank you both so much for a wonderful insight into your togetherness, your past, present and future. xx
